Like the exterior, the interior of this car is also well-appointed. The black and beige interior with wooden garnish and leather seats give the interior a contemporary and luxurious feel. The leather seats provide good support for the driver with the right amount of bolstering. The passengers at the rear also get comfortable seating with leg-room that is comparable to a higher segment. The leather-wrapped steering with audio and Bluetooth controls adds to the high-end feel of this car. The list of infotainment and features is endless. We were driving the top-end variant and it was equipped with air-bags for the driver and the passenger. It had Suzuki-Total Effective Control Technology(S-TECT) along with ABS and EBD as standard. The cabin is well-insulated and hardly any road noise filters into the cabin
The Ciaz comes with two engine options: a petrol K14 VVT and a DDiS 200 diesel. The 1,372-cc petrol engine develops 92.45 PS of power at 6,000 revolutions per minute and 130 Nm of torque at 4,000 RPM. The 1,248-cc DDiS oil-burner develops 90 PS at 4,000 RPM and 200 Nm of torque at 1,750 RPM. Whereas the petrol variant gets a five-speed manual and a four-speed auto box, the diesel one comes with a five-speed manual and does not get the auto box. I got the opportunity to drive both the petrol and diesel cars. The drive was from Jaipur to Ajmer and back, the total distance being 110 kilometres.
