Trial production gets under way
Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) are all set to launch a mini version of their popular car, the Xylo, and trial production has already begun.
The car, likely to be launched in the next two months, may be rolled out of the company’s new plant at Chakan, near Pune. When Car India got in touch with M&M officials, they refused to comment. The mini Xylo is expected to be priced at about Rs 5 lakh and should give a stiff competition to premium hatchbacks such as the Swift, i20 or the Indigo. Its fuel-efficiency will also be a big advantage for those looking for such SUVs.
