Aggressive looks, enhanced dimensions and refined performance sets a new benchmark among luxury SUVs in India
Mercedes-Benz India recently launched the new M Class in India. The new M Class introduces several new concepts like Attention Assist, Eco start stop, Reversing Camera etc. It also has the rare distinction of earning the Euro 5 star rating from EURO NCAP for its pioneering safety features.
Peter Honegg, MD & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India who was present at the launch, explains: “At the start of this year we had promised to introduce exciting new models into the market. We are proud to present today the New M Class, built to perform with the highest precision and follows the Mercedes-Benz new design language.”
Safety is a primary mover for the New M-Class. Like most new Mercedes cars, it has an inbuilt PRE-SAFE technology that tightens the seatbelts in case of a collision, thus preventing the passenger from hitting the dashboard. Protection of the environment is a key aspect, The vehicle has been built with the ECO start-stop function, which reduces fuel consumption and emissions by automatically switching off the engine during traffic jams and traffic signals. ABS, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Electronic Traction System are all part of standard equipment.
