Just ahead of the Indian Grand Prix weekend, Mark Webber from the Red Bull Racing team took some time off to experience the flavors of India by trying his hand at cricket at the Noida International University, with Red Bull athlete Gautam Gambhir.
The two sportspersons faced off in a short spell of cricket, with Webber trying his best to be one-up on Gambhir. Webber said he felt that delicious food and the sport of cricket were essential for a complete trip to India. He believed Formula One and cricket both required high levels of concentration and hand-eye coordination, and that his eagerness as an athlete to try new sports made his short experience of cricket worth his while. Gambhir said he enjoyed the rare experience of facing a Formula One athlete in a game of cricket. He also said he was looking forward to watching the duo of Webber and Vettel doing battle at the Indian GP race circuit.
