Lexus, a luxury brand associated to power and style should hit Indian shores no later than 2013.
Lexus, a subsidiary company owned by Toyota, shall launch the Lexus in dedicated Lexus Showrooms. The Lexus line shall be completely different from the current Toyota cars available in India.
The executives have done extensive and exhaustive market surveys and research to chalk out the most appropriate models to be launched in India.
Lexus used to be imported individually earlier and has become a status symbol among the people. The biggest hurdle would be competitively price its cars as initially the cars would be brought as completely built up (CBU) and hence shall attract high taxes and duties in India.
Finally 2013, now looks promising with Lexus entering India as a powerful luxury brand.
