The upcoming Paris Motor Show later this year will have a star exhibit in the form of the Jaguar C-X16 F-type production concept – the British car maker’s offering as a full-fledged production version.
The relationship between Jaguar Motors and the Paris Motor Show dates back all the way to 1961 when Jaguar unveiled the E-type, one of the most beautiful cars in the world till date.
The C-X16 F-type will be available in a choice of three petrol engine options, two 3.0 liter supercharged V6s putting out 340 PS and 380 Ps and another supercharged 5.0 liter V8 capable of delivering a commanding 450PS output. With an 8 speed transmission set-up, the new F-type will be produced at the Castle Bromwich plant along with other Jaguar offerings like the XF Saloon, Sportbrake, XJ Saloon and XK convertible.
Jaguar is also concentrating on launching around 40 new products in the next 4 to 5 years, while Tata Motors plans to invest a whooping $12 billion to help Jaguar compete with German giants like BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz.
