So far as the ride quality is concerned, what the Celerio offers is par for the course. It keeps things comfortable over our Indian roads as long as you remember to slow down a bit when you’re going over a patchy surface. Braking duties on the Celerio are taken care of by a pair of ventilated discs up front and drums at the rear. They are adequate enough for hauling this compact hatchback down from speeds without drama.
On the whole, after a couple of days of driving the car and putting it through the rigours of our road test, our conclusion is simple. The Celerio diesel isn’t the best when it comes to overall performance or the best equipped of vehicles. Its primary offer is that of fuel economy and that it provides by the dollops. However at Rs 6.89 lakh, the Celerio ZDi’s USP of fuel economy alone may make it a tough task for the manufacturer to crack this segment.
