Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar, has been declared Interior Designer of the Year at the 2013 Automotive Interiors Expo Awards.

Ian Callum joined Jaguar in 1999 and, under his direction, Jaguar Designs have taken the brand into an exciting new era. Callum has been instrumental in designing majority of the modern day Jaguar cars. His creations include the Jaguar XK, followed by the amazing XF and the current XJ saloons. His new all-aluminium design has been further defined with his masterpiece, the Jaguar F-Type.

Callum received this honor for the 2013 Jaguar F-type sports car. On receiving the award, Callum told media personnel that it was an honor and he found it hugely gratifying that Jaguar Design were being recognised by industry experts. The winner further added that he was very proud of his team, having achieved this with such conviction and clarity in all of their current products, and the now with the F-Type.

The Automotive Interiors Expo Awards celebrate the world’s finest designers, innovations and products in the automotive interiors field. The nominations for the Interior Designer of the Year were made by automotive designers and interior specialists worldwide, with the shortlist being judged by a panel of world-renowned journalists.
