The car houses a 1.2-litre, four cylinder engine, churning out 89 PS of power, the same as the one available on the Jazz. The engine is powered by Honda’s i-VTEC technology, gives 20 kmpl and meets the Euro IV norms. The car has two versions, the ‘S’ and the ‘V’. Safety features of the car include anti-lock braking system (ABS) and dual air bags (for both versions), and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD). To make the drive more robust and stable Honda has cut down on the height and made the car wider, giving it a more roomier feel and more cabin space. The car comes with 5 speed manual transmission and also CVT for the V-series. Rest of the features like power windows, EPS, adjustable steering wheel, child-lock system, immobilizer system, foldable rear seats and reminder alarms come as standard on all versions.
The pricing of Honda’s Brio starts from Rs 5,94,714 in Thailand, but with so many features it will
definitely change the small car scenario once it finally arrives in India.
