Lamborghini have unveiled the hardest-core Huracán yet – the rear-wheel drive only LP620-2 Super Trofeo, complete with 10 more horses to add more flavour to the heady concoction.
The Huracán may still be some time away for us in India, with the launch of the standard LP610-4 Coupé set for September 22, but this news only gets our pulse racing further. The 5,204cc V10 in the Huracán gets 10 more Italian thoroughbreds, to take the total up to 620 PS. However, all of those are now funnelled to the rear wheels only, and that means a weight drop down to 1,270 kg, giving the Huracán LP620-2 a power-to-weight ratio of 490 PS/tonne! The aerodynamics get upgraded even further, with a 10-position rear wing, front and rear diffusers and adjustable front air intakes. It’s always good to have options.
The Huracán Super Trofeo track-racer will compete in all three of the company’s one-make Blancpain Super Trofeo series for 2015. A limited number of road-legal versions will probably find their way to India too.
