Ford India celebrated the 3rd anniversary of its popular small car Figo with the launch of the limited edition Figo “Celebration Edition” on Monday.
The “Celebration Edition” is equipped with new features and signature badging, created by fashion designers Shantanu-Nikhil working with selected Figo owners in a one-day design workshop – the Ford Design Shack – held some time ago. On the inside, the “Celebration Edition” sports a new touchscreen satnav system, reverse parking sensors, a rear spoiler, new redesigned seat covers, and branded scuff plates. On the outside, the car sports new decals on both sides (just above the rear bumper) and signature badging on the bootlid. Disappointingly, the engine displacement and power remain the same, and the car still has no power windows at the rear.
Ford India’s recently-appointed President and MD Joginder Singh said on the occasion that the Figo has been a game changer for the company, and he hoped that the new edition would help the company in its endeavor to “go further”. He mentioned that the Design Shack was a symbol of how closely the company tracks customer preferences and tailors its offerings to meet customer needs. The new Figo “Celebration Edition” is available in a Diamond White color, and starts at a price (ex-showroom Delhi) of Rs 415,999 for the petrol and Rs 515,999 for the diesel.
