FIAT India has introduced a new version of the Linea dubbed the ‘Linea Classic’.
The new launch is expected to get FIAT India back in the entry-sedan game with a value-added offering bringing Italian craftsmanship and passion together for avid drivers, with the added backup of new dedicated sales and service outlets, 75 strong and growing, across India.
The new car, or Classic if you will, brings in a plethora of features at an attractive price and is very dimensionally gifted, being the longest in its segment and running the longest wheelbase and highest ground clearance as well. And then you have to consider the massive 500 litres of boot space it has to top it all. What’s more, it also comes with a three-year warranty.
The Linea Classic is being offered in petrol and diesel guises. Doing duty in the petrol car is the 1.4-litre FIRE engine with 90 PS and 115 Nm of torque, while the diesel gets their tried and tested, home-grown 1.3-litre MultiJet powerplant with 76 PS and 197 Nm of torque. Both engines offer incredible refinement and efficiency, paired to the five-speed manual transmission. There are three variants on offer, one petrol and two diesels: the Classic and the Classic+, starting from just Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
