Fast and Furious 6, the latest installment in the street-racing, muscle-flexing movie franchise is set to debut in theaters on May 24 this year.
Directed by Justin Lin and featuring the usual ensemble cast of Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster and Tyrese Gibson among others, the franchise will see a departure from the initial emphasis on street-racing to heist and car-chases, much in the vein of The Italian Job and The French Connection. The transition began with 2011’s Fast Five and will now be taken further, thanks to screenwriter Chris Morgan and producer Neal H. Moritz. But fret not, as, going by this extended trailer, there’s plenty of edge-of-the-seats car action to keep us petrolheads glued to our seats and pry our jaws open. See for yourself!
