German car-maker BMW launched their smallest diesel engine in the country recently.
The new BMW 520d joins the company’s offerings in the country with a two-litre turbocharged diesel engine and comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The engine offers a peak power of 183 PS and a maximum torque of 380 Nm. Along with the trademark BMW 5 Series’ good looks, this new fiver also promises good fuel economy, the promised figure being 18.4 km/l. The car has been priced at Rs 36.90 lakh (all India ex-showroom). The new 520d will be produced at the Chennai plant of the company.
