Audi have revealed their all new facelifted R8 lineup of the coupe and roadster models before their official world premier at the Paris Motor Show in September this year.
Both the beauties are tweaked with minor changes both internally and externally. The facelifted versions features an all new 7-speed S-Tronic dual clutch transmission in place of the R-Tronic 6-speed automated manual system. The new 4.2 litre V8 engine now churns out 430 PS and 430 Nm torque with top speed of 300 km/h, while the larger 5.2 litre V10 engine promises 525PS and 530 Nm torque and a top speed of 314 km/h.
Cosmetically, the external features include a refreshed 6 point frame grille and chrome inserts which make the car even more appealing, while the completely redesigned bumper with air inlets make it look even more aggressive. The rear end gets a restyled logo and a set of new LED tail lamps, new diffuser and rounded tailpipes complete this facelift make-over on all the variants. Interior modifications include Nappa leather upholstery for the seats, door panels and all interior linings.
This new set of R8’s is all set to burn a hole in your pocket by €113,500 (Rs 77.15 lacs) for the V8 Coupe while V8 Spyder will cost €124,800 (84.82 lacs) and the R8 V10 Plus will be available for €173,200 (Rs 1.17 crores) (all prices ex-showroom, Germany) . International markets, however, will have to wait for sales which is expected in the first quarter of the coming year.
