Honda are as well known for their power equipment as they are for their array of cars and motorcycles. The Japanese marque have now taken the wraps of the what is arguably the world’s fastest lawnmower.
Dubbed by the design team at Honda as the ‘Mean Mower’, it is scarily fast and extremely powerful. This monstrosity of a lawnmower has been built with Honda UK in association with technicians at BBC’s Top Gear.
Speaking to the media, Honda UK’s Ellie Ostinelli said, “Our brief was very straightforward – we wanted a super-fast lawnmower which retained the look of a mower, but above all else, it needed to still cut grass. Honda is a great believer in pushing boundaries… and we love a challenge!”
The Mean Mover sits on a chassis made of 4130 chromoly and boasts 109 PS thanks to a 1.0-liter VTR Firestorm engine. What’s even more mind-boggling is the fact that it can reach the 100 km/h in a mere 4 seconds, while it boasts of a top speed of approximately 209 km/h. This beast of a mower also sports a paddle-shifted six-speed transmission, ATV wheels and a grass bag reworked as a fuel tank. This certainly is one mean lawnmower you don’t wanna mess around with on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
