Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) has announced that their new sub-4 metre Verito will be named the ‘Verito Vibe’ and will be launched in May.
The Vibe was designed and developed within India by M&M and has been packaged on the Verito platform within a sub-4 metre length.
The Vibe is expected to offer the Verito’s strengths of space, comfort, robust build, ride and handling, within some class-first styling elements in a sporty look. Power will come from the familiar 1.5-litre dCi diesel engine currently doing duty in the standard Verito.
M&M selected the name ‘Vibe’ to convey a distinctive vibrant and youthful flavor and is targeting young, socially aware consumers of today. Pravin Shah, Chief Executive, Automotive Division, M&M said that M&M had always focused on developing products with a keen eye on customer needs, and the Verito Vibe would mark their entry into the high-volume sub-4 metre segment. The company has paid special attention to give a different, young and sporty look to the car so that it appeals to customers and also maintains the strengths of the existing Verito.
