Automobili Lamborghini expects increase in sales
Automobili Lamborghini is one of the few supercar makers in the world that mass produce their cars.
Last year the brand sold 1,302 units and still called it less when compared to 2009, when they delivered
1,515 of their exotic set of Italian wheels worldwide! Moreover, the 1,302 units majorly comprised
the different iterations of just one model, the Gallardo, as their earlier flagship model, the Muciélago
was retired from production last May.
The Muciélago has had a decade-long run and proved to be
their most successful car yet with 4,099 units sold over the years. Lamborghini launched their much
awaited new flagship supercar, the Aventedor LP 700-4 last month, and they already have orders
exceeding their 12-month production capacity. Soon, they will also start deliveries of the Gallardo
LP 570-4 Spyder Performante; the topless version of the Superleggera. With such a strong start to the
decade, Lamborghini expect to see growth in sales this year in spite of the recession. The US being a
V12 loving country, stands as the biggest market for the brand followed by China in second ahead of
Europe.
