Here are the first and exclusive pictures of the Skoda Fabia sedan being assembled at the VW plant in India! The car is an extension of the Fabia hatchback and will give the Skoda brand a mid-size sedan below the Laura in India.
The boot section of the car gels in perfectly with the front and looks an integral part of the design and not a mutated hip grown at the rear. It has retained the front fascia of the Fabia hatch but looks the same size as that of the VW Vento and has very striking design similarities too, like the rear end. The two cars will share platforms and maybe even engines, after all they both come under the VW group. Skoda has been experiencing a void in its Indian line-up ever since they discontinued the Octavia. The car seen here is a pre-season production meant for testing purposes. The series production of this car is expected to start by June or July and it should be in the market before the end of this year.
