Iconic Italian marque set for India debut
The lovers of the ICONIC TRIDENT shall rejoice with Maserati gearing up to step into India. The brand’s entry into the land of the tri-colour will be the result of a joint marketing project between Fiat and Tata Motors.
After the Jaguar and the Land Rover, this is Tata Motors’ next major leap forward to bring some major luxury brands to the country’s automotive market.
Famous for its supercarsMaserati’s arrival will bring with it some very interesting cars from its stable, such as the GranTurismo, Quattroporte and GranCabrio.
Maserati accepts the fact that the initial sales in the country will be small, but, looking at the growing popularity of high-end cars, they may soon achieve decent numbers.
In the US, however, Maserati aims at selling upto 9,000 units this year, which means profitability for the company after being in the red for 18 years.
Hailing from Bologna, Italy, the marque has a number of records to add to its grandeur, including a speed record and an F1 championship. The latest from the brand is the 410 PS GranTurismo, showcased at the Geneva Motor Show.
