Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), the largest car maker in the Indian market, are mulling CNG (compressed natural gas) variants of all their models in the country.
The company has already launched CNG variants of five of its cars – the Alto, WagonR, Estilo, Eeco and SX4.
Alok Jaitley, General Manager (Homologation-Environment Planning), MSIL, said the company was working on CNG models and eventually planned to offer all the models in CNG variants. He was speaking on the sidelines of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers’ (SIAM) conference in Ahmedabad.
