Renault Fluence to make its debut in India next month
They might have made an entry into the Indian automobile industry through their JV with Mahindra, but Renault is now ready to launch their first independent offering in the Indian market.
Renault’s Fluence sedan will be launched with 1.6 litre petrol (6-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmissions) and 1.5 litre diesel (6-speed manual transmission) engine options. To be placed in direct competition to the likes of Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla Altis, the Fluence is expected to be priced between Rs 11-14 lakhs. The car would be assembled in Nissan Renault’s Chennai facility. To keep the price of the car low, the company has planned to localise the engine and some other parts too. Just like their last offering Logan. Renault promises good fuel economy with the Fluence as well.
