McLAREN
675LT
The first car in two decades to bear the ‘Long Tail’ (LT) name, the 675 is a faster, sportier version of the 650S and, as the name suggests, it’s got a longer tail section, harking back to the McLaren F1 GTR Long Tail. It also packs in 25 more horses in that 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 horse-case, and more torque too; so that’s 675 PS and 700 Nm in a barely legal race-car for the road, for those who’ve gotten lost in the McLaren portfolio.
P1 GTR
The Gran Turismo Rennsport version of the P1 packs a rounded-off 1,000 PS and comes with a huge wing on the back. The highlight is that it weighs just 1.4 tonnes. The Veyron had one more horse 10 years ago, but it weighed 1.9 tonnes. Another highlight is the price: while the P1 costs Rs 8.2 crore, those three letters and what they bring cost Rs 10 crore more.
