KOENIGSEGG

Agera RS

If you have an Agera R but want even more, Herr Christian von Koenigsegg has taken care of that now. The big, wide hypercar has its twin-turbo V8 now pumping out 1,176 PS and 1,280 Nm of torque. Use more eco-friendly E85 fuel, and the output rises even higher! The Swede hypercar-makers claim it will dismiss 0-300 km/h in 18 seconds. Only 25 will be made, 10 of which are already spoken for. Having commas in your output figures is a wonderful thing, isn’t it?

Regera

If you thought their One:1 was insane with its 1-mW (1,360 PS) output and 1,360-kg kerb weight, the Regera will blow your mind. First of all, it uses a twin-turbo V8 motor and three electric motors: one for each rear wheel, and one on the crankshaft. Second, it has no gearbox. That’s right. That aforementioned third electric motor on the crank brings the engine to life and sends the power to the rear wheels. Called ‘Koenigsegg Direct Drive’, the system is patent-pending. The output? Conservatively quoted figures from Koenigsegg are “more than 1,500 PS and 2,000 Nm”. The 0-100 km/h figure is 2.7 seconds, because it’s a road car, obviously. However, the 150 to 250 km/h dash takes just 3.2 seconds. Furthermore, standstill to 400 km/h takes “less than 20 seconds.” Oh, and it weighs 1,420 kg dry.
