BMW spruce up the X5 to make sure the Indian SUV buyers do not go astray

The muscular bonnet, crisp lines, flexing wheel arches and exaggerated wheels easily enable the X5 to qualify as one of the sharpest designs in the SUV arena. However, in order to keep the design fresh and the competition at bay, BMW have further stropped the design and have recently introduced its face-lifted version in India. Call it their celebration gift to their patrons for regaining the leadership in the luxury car segment or a routine upgrade, either way we welcome the change.
The spruced up X5 will carry a range of cosmetic tweaks. For example, the new shape of the headlamps and the re-positioning of the fog-lights. The most dynamic part of the change are
the swelled up air vents, which give this BMW an athletic look. The front bumper loses the nude black plastic and now is body-coloured and also gets matte aluminium trims.
There are some minor changes on the rear as well. The new tail-lamps featuring BMW’s trademark LED lights accentuate the SUV’s horizontal lines. The X5 xDrive 30d Hi-line with a three-litre oil burner can be yours for Rs 52.90 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and the xDrive 50i loaded with a 4,395-cc petrol motor costs Rs 69.50 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Good things might come in small packets, but they definitely do not come with small price tags!
