Honda upgrades the Accord
The Accord, Honda’s premium sedan, just got better. With a few additions here and there, Honda has made the Accord slightly better than what it was earlier. All this comes through costumer feedback. It seems like Honda is taking customer satisfaction really seriously.
The most prominent feature in the new Honda Accord comes in the form of the addition of a sunroof. Though a premium saloon, the Accord had missed on this feature earlier and Honda has finally incorporated it. However, this one is available only on the 3.5-litre V6 version of the Accord. Apart from giving the car a more spacious feel, the sunroof also adds a hint of chic to the car’s character. The Accord also gets Bluetooth connectivity device now. It can pair with your Bluetooth enabled handset and let you make and receive calls while driving without even reaching out for your handy. The Bluetooth device has buttons to receive and cancel calls as well as manage volume, redial, transfer calls, etc. Placed on the A-pillar, the Bluetooth device is easily accessible to the driver.
Apart from these features, the Honda Accord now comes with two sets of keyless entry and an additional footlight for enhanced visibility in the dark. These features are also seen on the 2.4-litre version of the car. However, it is quite surprising that in spite of these upgrades, the Honda still doesn’t have steering mounted audio controls. While the 2.4 versions of the Accord now get expensive by around Rs 80,000 at Rs 21.41 lakh (Manual Elegance) and Rs 22.28 lakh (Automatic Elegance), the V6 variant goes up by Rs 1.2 lakh and retails at Rs 29.81 lakh (Elegance).
