Škoda celebrates the feat of selling and producing one million cars in 2014. The Czech car manufacturing company sold 9, 55,500 vehicles around the world, with Chinese market contributing a major chunk to these numbers. Overall Skoda sold 34,500 more vehicles this year, as compared to 2013.
The main reason for this hike in sales is due to the success of the brand’s ongoing model campaign, through which the company is winning over new consumer groups. Commenting on the occasion, Dr. Winfried Vahland, CEO Škoda says “Škoda will set new sales record this year, following the positive results in November. Producing and selling one million Škoda cars for the first time in one year is a milestone for our brand, and has made the whole team very proud.”
