Announcement of limited-edition model made in New York
Mini announced a new limited-edition model, called the Mini GPii, at the recent new York auto Show.
Now, the story goes something like this. in 2005 Mini built a limited-edition model, called the Mini cooper S JcW GP Kit, which was a lightweight, race-prepped version bearing the John cooper Works badge. it was considered as being the most powerful Mini model at that time. Today Mini is at it again. The company is all set to release a similar product at the Mini united event, which will be held at the Paul Ricard circuit in France in May.
Mini has released no information regarding this variant, but we can safely surmise that it will be powered by the 1.6-litre cooper S engine in a highly tuned state with a power output of 220 PS. The Mini GPii will have bespoke bumpers, rear diffuser and tailgate spoiler along with the signature four-spoke alloys with a new twist.
