Inside, the cabin is packed with top-quality material, a wide panoramic sun-roof, and a button-encrusted centre console which lets you control many things, if not almost everything; typically Porsche, then. As with every Porsche, there are many options on the list, but, thankfully, our car was loaded to the gills. In fact, later on, I checked for gills because this is a car that could wade through a decent depth of water too. But more on its off-road ability later.

The steering wheel is just the right size and, although the cabin seems a bit to snug while in the driver’s seat, there is a good amount of space up front. The multiple adjustment possibilities on the front seats make the driver’s seat a lovely place to be in. Sure, you’re faced with the Porsche emblem on the steering and the centre dial has ‘turbo’ across it, in that font, but together with the standard slide, recline and lumbar, there are buttons for the extendible thigh support, as well as for the lower and side bolsters. So, a comfortable or sporty seating stance is easily available, as is a choice between the two.

At the rear, however, things get a bit tighter. Now, this is a six-footer speaking, so the rear seats, though adequately supportive, have rear occupants deal with the sloping roof, and, hence, poor head-room. If, however, one is of average Indian height, then comfort should not be an issue. More importantly, this is a turbo Porsche – you do not buy one to sit in the back. I should mention, then, that it’s perfect for children, and, being a Porsche, safety isn’t compromised in the least and child-seat anchoring choices abound.
