General Motors India have decided to increase the prices of their range of vehicles from the first week of June.
This was something quite a few had expected considering the increase in cost of raw materials as well as fuel prices, which have directly affected the cost of transport.
Mr. P Balendran, Vice President, General Motors India stated: “We have decided to increase the prices of all our vehicles upto Rs 10,000 depending upon the model with effect from the 1st week of June on account of increase in transportation costs / logistics due to hike in diesel price. In percentage terms, the increase goes up to 1.5% depending on the model.”
After a slew of launches over the past year, including the new Sail hatchback, Sail sedan and the Enjoy MPV, apart from the refreshed Spark and Captiva, General Motors have indeed garnered quite a bit of attention and hope to capture more of the car market in the country as a result.
