S Ravi Kumar, Senior Vice-President (Business Development), Bajaj Auto, told Car India that they would remain in the commercial space of the business while Renault-Nissan, if they decided to go ahead, would be responsible for the personal transport application. The exact nature and features of the vehicle will be unveiled during the Auto Expo in January 2012.
However, Renault offi cials, when asked about the status of the deal at the launch of the Fluence in Pune on July 20, said a terse, “No comment.”
