To be more powerful & economical than the present models
GERMAN AUTO GIANT BMWannounced recently that they would launch new engines for all their cars soon.
Thesenew engines will be more powerful and economical than the ones doing duty in today’s BMW cars.
All variants of the BMW 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series and Z4 will get new engines. The BMW 5 Series engine is expected to get the maximum upgrade. In all, BMW 5 Series has fi ve variants, three of them diesel and two petrol. Of these, the 525d, which generates 204 BHP, will generate 218 BHP once it gets the new engine.
The ‘Effi cientDynamics’ variant of the 520d will generate 184 BHP and 380 Nm of torque. It will offer a best-in-class mileage of 22.2 km per litre. Coming to the top variant, the new 530d will generate 13 BHP more than the current model, 258 BHP at 4,000 RPM.
