Ugur Sahin Design unveils Rolls-Royce Jonckheere Aerodynamic Coupe II.
The 1935 “Round Door” Rolls-Royce Phantom I Aerodynamic Coupe is famous as a beautiful design with unknown origins – it was designed by Jonckheere Works in Belgium, but no records are available for the designer or for whoever commissioned it.
Now, Jonckheere Works has commissioned Ugur Sahin Design to reinterpret this design for modern times, and the end result is truly nothing short of a masterpiece! The front fender has been redesigned with the headlights “dropping” into the fenders, and the rear fin has been downsized. The face of the car sports a large grille and there are round doors, paying tribute to the original design.
The company announced that it is in talks with potential investors to build a one-off that would give “the ultimate feeling of luxury” to its exclusive owner.
