Maruti Suzuki have launched a new 24×7 road-side assistance, where technicians will mobilise via motorcycles, shortening the response time for helping customers.
This initiative currently has 350 motorcycles in over 250 cities with the goal of making it to 500 cities by the end of 2020. Customers who are under the extended warranty receive this facility as complimentary. The service is chargeable to those not on the extended warranty by Maruti Suzuki and customers can expect to spend between Rs 420 to 575 depending upon the location of the car.
The Quick Response Team (QRT) bikes have a bunch of spares and tools including tyre inflators, a toolbox and a battery jump starter. The riders of the bikes are trained Maruti Suzuki technicians with the aim to be able to solve 90 per cent of regular car breakdown problems.
Kenichi Ayukawa, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India, said, “Customer obsession being a core value of Maruti Suzuki, it drives us every time to come up with innovations to delight our customers. Started over two decades back, Maruti Suzuki is the pioneer of road-side assistance programme in India. The launch of the Quick Response Team on bikes is a strategic decision to rapidly help attend customer cars that may have broken down on the road. We are confident that this initiative will take Maruti Suzuki’s service for customer care to the next level of convenience.”
