Home / News / Honda Amaze now the Japanese Brand’s Base Offering

With the discontinuation of the Brio hatchback, the entry-level Amaze sedan is now Honda’s most affordable offering in India.

With Honda Cars India pulling out of the hatchback market with the discontinuation of the Brio, the responsibility of pulling in the numbers now falls to the Amaze, Honda’s sub-four-metre sedan. A senior Honda official confirmed that production of the Brio has been stopped, with the brand’s focus moving away from the compact hatchback segment.

The Honda Amaze is powered by a choice of a 1.2-litre petrol engine or a 1.5-litre diesel unit, and both powerplants offer a CVT variant. Prices start at Rs 5.8 lakh for the base petrol variant, while diesel options start at Rs 6.9 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
