The Toyota sedan will feature a 7-speed CVT
The 2011 Corolla Altis is set to make its long rumoured debut next month. The car will see no major changes under the bonnet apart from the transmission.
The current Altis is also offered with a 4-Speed auto box which was not the best match for the power generated by the engine. To sort this issue, Toyota will introduce a 7-Speed CVT in the new Altis.
The other changes will be strictly superficial like new bumpers, grille and headlights. Expect the 2011 Altis to make an appearance at the Toyota showrooms next month, featuring the 1.8 VVT-i in the petrol variant and the D4D 1.4 in the diesel option.
