The ‘up!’ impresses judges to win the prestigious award
Volkswagen’s Tiny ciTy car, the ‘up!’, was recently adjudged as this year’s world car of the year (wcoTy) at the new york international auto show.
The ‘up!’ won the trophy because of its responsive steering, sophisticated suspension set-up, efficient engine and excellent quality of material and immaculate finish.
as many as 64 jurors from 25 different countries had to choose from the top three contenders that included the Vw ‘up!’, porsche 911 and BMw 3 series and eventually they picked the tiny Vw for the top honour and also stated that other small car manufacturers now would have to raise the bar in order to compete with the ‘up!’ congratulations, Volkswagen!
