Ravindra Pisharody, Executive Director (Commercial Vehicles), Tata Motors, has been elected the new Vice President of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM). The decision to appoint Pisharody as the new SIAM Vice President was taken unanimously by the apex industry body’s executive committee ahead of the forthcoming Auto Expo 2016.

“I look forward to my new role as the Vice President. I understand that the role would be challenging and I would like to pitch in with my contributions and help strengthen the team further so that we can move towards our common goals,” said Pisharody who has over three decades of professional executive experience.

Previously, he has held national, regional and global leadership roles in Sales, Marketing, Business Management and Strategy Development. Currently, apart from being the Executive Director (Commercial Vehicles) at Tata Motors, he is also on the board of directors of several other Tata Group companies. Pisharody studied electronics engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur from where he graduated with a Bachelor of Technology degree before moving on to business administration at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Kolkata.
