Premium car manufacturer Porsche have set new records in terms of sales, revenue and profit for the 2014 fiscal year.
The company has sold 1,89,849 vehicles, resulting in a 17 per cent growth over the previous year. In terms of revenue, Porsche showed an increase by one-fifth to 17.2 billion Euros. Apart from the monetary and quantity growth, the company also grew in workforce, which rose from 19,456 employees to 22,401 employees.
Matthias Muller, Chairman of the Executive Board said “Porsche has developed very successfully and is now better positioned than ever, achieving the Strategy 2018 ahead of schedule.” According to the chairman the success of the Macan – selling nearly 45,000 units, and the firm’s range of plug-in-hybrids – 918 Spyder, Cayenne S E-Hybrid and Panamera S E-Hybrid, were major contributors to the company’s success.
