Mercedes-AMG will introduce the roadster avatar of their latest sport car, the GT.
We won’t say that this was unexpected, but what we will say is that Mercedes-AMG are finally at the testing phase of their convertible AMG GT: the GT C, assuming that that’s what it will probably be called. The GT C will sport a convertible roof; whether hard-top or soft-top is not known for now, but seeing as the SLS wore fabric, so too, may the GT.
Both the 476-PS and the 510-PS twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 will be offered. India may just get only the 510-PS version. The AMG SpeedShift seven-speed multi-clutch transmission will funnel all those 600-650 Nm to the rear wheels. The weight difference too won’t be too much; to the tune of 50-70 kg being added. It won’t be radically different, but it will be different, no less. Watch this space.
