Hyundai’s new luxury sub-brand called Genesis has been making quite the buzz since the announcement of its inception.
This anticipation has only grown after the first car under this banner – the G90 luxury sedan was unveiled. Now, the development of the brand into a fully-functional entity has been given a boost, with the announcement that Hyundai have roped in Manfred Fitzgerald to take over the reins of this new entity.
Fitzgerald is a stalwart in the auto industry with 12 years of experience at Italian supercar brand Lamborghini, and most recently held the position of Director of Brand and Design there. He will now step in to the roll of Senior Vice President at Genesis, slotting in with Luc Donckerwolke who heads the Hyundai Motor Design centre and will also lead Genesis’s Prestige Design Division.
