More than 560 drivers applied to race in this season of the VW Vento Cup, however only 12 make the cut.
The 12 new drivers this season will join eight from previous seasons to fill up the 20-place grid this year. The selection process lasted 45 days, during which 62 racers were shortlisted and invited to the Indi Karting Track in Pune for a final selection held over two days, from which only these 12 emerged triumphant. The selected drivers still have to undergo a fitness camp and pre-season testing before the first round of the season in June.
