Shell Lubricants participated in the 8th Airtel Delhi Half Marathon 2015 (ADHM), with the aim to encourage its employees to adopt a healthy and fit lifestyle.
Re-enforcing their focus on health issues, Shell introduced a new ‘0 – 100’ health program, using the ADHM as a starting platform. To prepare for the marathon, the company took various measures to prepare the 28 member team for the long run. A fitness trainer, dietician and various alterations to the cafeteria menu were made, to make sure the participates have a healthy diet.
Commenting on the occasion, Mansi Tripathy, Chief Marketing Officer, Shell Lubricants India, an active sports enthusiast who herself has participated in over 50 marathons said, “Any organization is as good as its members, hence welfare of employees has always been an important focus at Shell Lubricants. We have had team members participating in the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon over the last few years and we wanted to encourage others to embrace this healthy challenge too. It was great to see workspace colleagues become workout partners and come together as a strong team. The experience at the marathon was exceptional and we are extremely proud of Shell’s team members. We hope they continue to focus on a healthier lifestyle and represent Shell at the next year’s edition in even greater numbers.”
