This is the second time India will be represented at the final stage of the Rainforest Challenge

This July, Gerrari Offroaders Gurmeet Virdi and Kirpal Singh Tung created history be being the first Indian duo to win the Force Gurkha Rainforest Challenge (RFC) India, the country’s toughest off-road event. This victory ensures their entry into the global finals, to be held later this week in Malaysia.

The Global RFC series has 25 editions worldwide, in several countries including India, Australia, Russia, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Korea, Myanmar and Ukraine, and the best off-roaders in the world come together to compete against each other in the Grand Final. This year’s event, the 20th edition of the RFC Grand Final, will be held from the 25th of November to the 5th of December, and the team of Virdi and Tung are all set to fly the Tricolour, high and proud, in Malaysia.

As per Luis J A Wee, the Founder of the Rainforest Challenge, “It’s really wonderful to see our current RFC India champion making it to the mother event RFC in Malaysia. I am very sure that the skills that Gurmeet & Kirpal have displayed in Goa will be put to good use competing against the other internationals. They are both also very cool players, and such traits plus their improved driving and recovery skills, will add to their advantage. So, good luck and best wishes to our Indian champion team!”
