The 595 Competizione is also a capable handler. Its ultra communicative steering wheel always keeps you informed about what the front end is doing, giving the confidence to push the little monster harder and harder. The super stiff suspension is also perfectly calibrated for enthusiastic driving. It keeps the car well balanced during sudden directional changes and doesn’t let you notice any body-roll. Braking is also superb, thanks to four-pot callipers upfront and twin-pot ones at the rear which provide ample bite and feel to stop you from getting any jitters.
Overall, the FIAT 595 Competizione is a capable performance car, although the sloppy five-speed AMT makes it less potent when you are going for the kill. At Rs 29.85 lakh (ex-Delhi), it is expensive but if you are willing to overlook the 595’s shortcoming (AMT), then it is a great little enthusiast’s car. Plus it looks super cool and should add some more bling to your ultra hip persona.
