The US President’s official limousine is a heavily customized Cadillac DTS, a veritable bunker on wheels.
Talking about wheels, the official limo drives on a set of Goodyear tyres – Goodyear Regional RHSII to be precise. The speciality about these tyres is that they high durability run flats – this means the car can continue to function even with zero air-pressure in all tyres.
Goodyear tyres have been the official tyre manufacturers for the presidential limousine and the US Secret Service. Commenting on this, P. K Walia, VP, Goodyear India said “The President of the United States makes countless appearances and appointments on his journeys, and Goodyear is a key contributor, though few might notice. The Goodyear tyres fitted to the presidential limousine are actually truck tyres in a 285/70 R19.5 size, necessary due to the vehicle’s extra load that includes a heavy-duty chassis, extended length and armoured material.”
