The Auris Touring is the estate version of the world’s best-selling car and, in Hybrid guise offers even greater practicality, not to mention zero road tax in the UK. The cavernous boot, comfortable and smart interior, efficient but punchy engines and renowned reliability give it every reason to be a success. We wish they decide to bring it here too.
Avensis
If you thought the Auris was a fantastic creation, the Avensis takes the whole game up a level. Practicality, luxury and reliability all find common ground in this superlative estate whose generous proportions afford comfort and everyday usability like few others. With a 124-PS 2.0-litre and a more delicious 150-PS 2.2-litre D-4D motor on the list, it makes us wonder why they’re holding back here.
