After what seems like an excruciatingly long wait for enthusiasts, Volvo have finally begun offering the Polestar Performance upgrade for the entire line up of D5 engine models and the S60 T6 AWD, taking performance further north.
Polestar is Volvo’s performance partner, offering factory and after sales performance upgrades to new and existing customers who want to get that further edge. Their tune-up packages are priced reasonably well and deliver almost 11 per cent more power depending on the vehicle configuration.
The Polestar Performance upgrade is priced at Rs 1.25 lakh and can be installed on any D5 diesel engine model, from the 2008 S80 D5 to the 2014 XC90 D5 AWD, as well as the S60 T6.
These are the resultant numbers of the upgrade –
Previous models:
- S80 D5 – 205 PS / 450 Nm (+10.8%)
- S60 D5 – 225 PS / 460 Nm (+9.8%)
Current models:
- S60 D5 / S80 D5 / XC60 D5 AWD – 230 PS / 470 Nm (+7.0%)
- XC90 D5 AWD – 210 PS / 460 Nm (+5.0%)
- S60 T6 AWD – 329 PS / 480 Nm (+8.2%)
The Polestar Performance upgrade is now available at all Volvo Car dealers around the country.
