European car maker – Skoda, offers this bold and luxurious car in six exciting variants
With two major launches in the first five month of 2009, the Czech automaker is on roll. Recently Skoda launched the new Superb and now it’s time for the Laura with a new face and heart. The car looks appealing and stylish with new wraparound headlamps, grille and front bumper. The new Laura sports a fresh new four spoke steering wheel, refreshed dashboard and instrument cluster.
Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Ashutosh Dixit, General Manager, Sales & Network Development, SkodaAuto India said, “With the New Laura we will reinstate our supreme position in the C+ segment and aim at increasing our segment share by penetration into smaller cities and towns in India for which we are also expanding our dealer network and infrastructure to 65 points by this year end with authorized outlets in Trichy, Salem and Haldwaniâ€.
Skoda offers three engines option for the Laura in six variants. The 1.8 TSI Manual Transmission which is available only in the Ambiente trim which can pumps 160bhp between 4500-6200 rpm and 250Nm between 1500 to 4500 rpm. While the 1.9 TDI PD Manual & Automatic Transmission available in Ambiente and Elegance trims produces 105bhp at 4000rpm and 250Nm at 1900rpm. The top of the line 2.0 TDI will be available in L&K trim with Automatic Transmission that produce a jaw dropping 140bhp at 4000rpm and 320 Nm of peak torque at 1750rpm.
Available in Arctic Breeze, Candy White, Diamond Silver, Black Magic and Cappuccino Beige colours, the variants are priced at:
