Suzuki_concepts_at_Tokyo_13_-_Crosshiker_-_webMany of you may have taken note of Suzuki’s presence at the Frankfurt Motor Show that just went by a few months ago. If you did, you’ll know they unveiled a new compact SUV concept in the form of the iV-4.

Turns out, that was just the tip of the concept iceberg as far as the Japanese giants are concerned.

The 43rd edition of the Tokyo Motor Show is all set to kick off from the 20th of November, and Suzuki have announced that they will unveil a staggering 4 new concepts to the world there, apart from the aforementioned iV-4.

The first off the block is the quirky looking Crosshiker. This little hybrid crossover is powered by a 1-litre 3 cylinder engine, along with an electric motor, but don’t let that get you down, because it’ll weigh a paltry 810 kg, meaning it should still be capable of dizzying speed figures regardless of its conservative engine size.

Next up we have the X-Lander, this one’s another compact SUV, and size-wise, it could be classed in the same bracket as the aforementioned iV-4, but the similarities end there. This 4WD convertible has a hybrid motor powering it, which includes a 1.3-litre powerplant, which will also be coupled with Suzuki’s new automatically controlled manual transmission system.

The next two cars are basically two peas in a pod, as the Hustler and Hustler Coupé are only distinguished by their designs. This mini-car meets crossover design is fresh, and quite intriguing. Further details and technical specifications will emerge once the cars see the light of day in Tokyo. As for which of these, if any, will go into production and make its way to India? We’ll let you know as soon as we find out, so stay tuned. Suzuki_concepts_at_Tokyo_13_-_X-lander_web
